Be Still My Soul is a collection of favorite songs recently performed at concerts and memorial services by Peace Together Choir. Song have been chosen for their uplifting, inspiring, comforting messages, and with special attention to creating a beautiful arrangement of choir voices and instrumental enhancements. Director, John Buckenberger leads the multi-faith choir in their heartfelt presentations. This collection includes performances by many Peace Together soloists, and small groups, and also includes special additions of youth choir voices, professional percussion, and flute, clarinet and guitar enhancements. From Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up" to the director's exciting rendition of Garth Brooks' "The River", and the memorable "Sometimes" once sung by Karen Carpenter, this collection is sure to be both familiar and surprising. "The Lord's Prayer" is a beautiful version that is sung regularly at the folk masses of the University of Notre Dame, and Shenandoah is a hauntingly beautiful reflection of peace, requested for a special funeral mass, and now a favorite of all who hear it. The CD begins and ends with the theme, Be Still My Soul, which describes the comfort we hope to share with our listeners.
