Album Notes

Guitarist Fred Pedemonti, a native of Hartford, CT, has been honing his skills for over twenty-five years on the instrument that first captured his imagination. From the outset, his fervor for playing was divided between the aggressive energy of electric guitar and the intimate nature of the acoustic.

In recent years Fred has placed an emphasis on solo acoustic performance-an avenue that is perfectly suited to his love for traditional, as well as eclectic, stringed instruments. Citing inspiration from the likes of Michael Hedges, Larry Carlton, and Al DiMeola, he has sought to further explore the depth and tranquillity of the acoustic realm.

On his first solo release The Ten Bells one will find a unique range of emotions and textures combined with technical mastery in a way that will impress even the most seasoned listeners of this particular genre. On a purely aesthetic level, the casual fan will also find more than enough reasons to include this disc among their favorites.

This ability to appeal to such a wide audience should leave no doubt that Fred Pedemonti is destined to take his well-deserved place among the giants of the acoustic guitar world.
