Nature Morte is an Electro-Ambient project. At the core of the project resides Pedro Alexandre, the founder & main power source of Nature Morte.

Born in Lisbon, Pedro Alexandre began his classical training as a teenager in Quebec. Later he worked with & provided music for such bands & artists as "premonition", "Les Rex", "Leprocy", "J.D. Pelletier" to name a few. It was not until having worked with "Great Deal of Noise" that Pedro Alexandre began experimenting with samplers, sequencers, sound creation & editing - enter Nature Morte.

The idea of Nature Morte first came to Pedro Alexandre in 1996 but only began taking form some years later. Since, Pedro Alexandre has worked with "Foetal Void" for their debut "Know EP" in which he contributed with his "Know (Marylyn mix)" - 2002 remix. In 2003 Pedro Alexandre remixed one of his own recordings, scheduled for release that same year but with a darker, more industrial feel to suit that specific project. "Shiny_Pink_Towels (Beauty mix)" was released on the "Sonic Visions" compilation from GESKA Records. Although his own mix of "Shiny_Pink_Towels" was delayed, "Shiny_Pink_Towels (Beauty mix - edit) finally saw day in Nature Morte's pre-album single CD-R.

This first release, Nature Morte's pre-album single CD-R, is the perfect introduction to his current work : a music that ranges from chillout, drum & bass, break beat to a minimalist trance (sometimes not so minimalist) and is scheduled for release in 2005.
