Philip Earl Johnson is a renaissance man of performing. He has been writing funny songs since college and has two CD’s to his credit, STOCKING THE POND and PUBLIC NEW DITTY. Many of the songs on PUBLIC NEW DITTY have been performed for many years at Renaissance Festivals where he has been working. He has been touring professionally as a comedian for over 20 years doing mostly Renaissance Festivals and theaters as MooNiE the Magnif’Cent: Juggler, Ropewalker, Foolish Mortal! with credits all across the country and with appearances on Comedy Central, Fox, ABC and WGN Television. He has also participated in The Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Australia and The Minnesota Fringe Festival in Minneapolis, MN. He is also an actor who has appeared on stage at The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. as well as The Goodman and Steppenwolf Theaters in Chicago. He has appeared on film in The Out-Of –Towners with Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn. He is also a founding member of the performance group called ART BELOW ZERO ENSEMBLE which is an interactive live cirque-style ice sculpting and clown show. He lives in the Chicago area.
