Nachdenklich, ins Schwarze treffend
author: JS (Joerg Sommermeyer)JS (Joerg Sommermeyer) über den Song "Valentines Day": Nachdenklich, ins Schwarze treffender Text, deutliche Folksongfärbung, sympathisch schlichte Begleitmusik, zurückhaltender Gesang, aber nicht übertrieben sanft.
If your shoes show some wear, but there's still tread left, this CD is for you.
author: Val Rader In MaDog's life contains outstanding collection of light rock and acoustic songs that will be especially touching and meaningful to anyone with a little life experience. Since you can't stream every song in the on the CD, I'll tell you that the album is a substantial work with many great songs (and all good songs), the sum of which is more than the individual pieces. These songs are poignant vignettes, exploring personal relationships. Images and situations convey the meaning without the necessity of harsh judgment, moralizing, and preaching. Ann sings her songs in the first person as one deeply involved in the plot, not from the perspective of the simple observer. No other approach to art requires as much emotional courage from the artist, or yields more profound and lasting insights and understanding. You'll hear the art speak, not the artist. I thank Ann for having the courage to touch others in this most powerful and personal collection. If you are feeling a little worn from life's journey, or if your soul has the ears to hear and the eyes to see beyond your years, you'll love the warm and comfortable company of Dog's Life. Take it with you on your journey. It'll lighten your load and light your way.
