Album Notes

This is my second cd and I am so proud of it. It was a lot of hard work, but even more fun. My first was an acoustic unplugged cd introducing Dave the person and artist.

I played country music most of my life. Not only was I singing Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound, but I was the perfect model of it. I started playing the bars and places like that at the age of 11 years old. I decided to lay it down after 20 years of making my living that way and get a normal job. I was still that perfect model of being whiskey bent and hell bound though, but that all changed in 2001. I have been married for almost 28 years and 24 of those years I spent drunk. Thank God that HE has had his hands on me even before I knew better.
June 10th of 2001 I went out on my back porch and gave my life to Jesus. I made a promise to him that I would never pick up another bottle, and that is a promise I have kept and will keep until I return to my home in heaven. Since I gave my life to Jesus I started to pick up the guitar and sing again, for Jesus this time. He has given me songs that only I can sing for him because of what he has done for me. When I say that he set me free, I can say it with conviction and truth. My wife, Judy, continues to stand at my side, do the sound and board, and walk with me thru this journey and supports me unconditionally with my music and helping me to go thru the doors that God is opening for my ministry. I continue to play where the Lord leads and follow him thru the door that he has opened for me praising his name and thanking Him for all he has done. My daughter, Judy, takes care of cds, dvds, and bookings. With Jesus and my family on my side, I cannot fail. I spend my time when I am not singing or writing spending time with my family. My wife, daughter, and two grandkids, Cody and Katie, are the highlights of my life.
