Album Notes

After 6 years on the road and two studio albums ("Swingin' Sixties" – Brixton Records 2004 and "Shake It!" – Megalith Records 2009) The Pepper Pots has become one of the most promising and international Catalan bands.

They made a choice on the “Old School” sound and look, with a strong influence from Jamaican music and classic Soul. The band has toured around Europe many times. France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Finland, Czech Republic, Austria, Russia, England are some of the countries where they have performed. They even have toured around Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Okayama, Nagoya, Fukuoka) where they released the second album, “Shake it!” , brought out by the Japanese record company Ska in the World.

Throughout these years The Pepper Pots have collaborated in some compilations and they won an award in the Caceres independent music international awards as the best Ska band of the year. They have shared stage with well known artists such as Laurel Aitken, Derrick Morgan, The Pioneers, Jimmy Cliff, Dave Barker, Winston Francis, The Aggrolites, Dr. Ring Ding, The Toasters, NYSJE, The Slackers... They have also performed in the most important European festivals: Riversite Stomp Air Festival 2007 (Mainz-Germany), 22nd SummerJam Reggae Festival 2007 (Cologne-Germany), Rototom Sunsplash European Reggae Festival 2007 (Usoppo-Italy), Rock for People 2007 (Hradec Králové – Czech Republic), RudeCat Festival and Black Music Festival (Girona-Catalonia)… and so on.

Besides that, The Pepper Pots have had great guests in their two albums: The Pioneers (Jamaica), Dr Ring Ding (Germany), ASPO (France), Ben Jammin' (United Kingdom) and Freddie Reiter NYSJE (U.S.A.) have collaborated with them.

Now, The Pepper Pots are working in their third studio album that will be another step forward in their search of Soul sound. They are working with a world renowned producer and, as always, taking into account the smallest detail.
