This instructional salsa video is intended for Salsa dancers with prior dance experience. However, all dancers can benefit from the techniques taught for executing these steps, particularly the dips.

This video is broken down into three sections: dips, lifts, and solos. The dips section teaches 10 dips and their variations. It starts with very simple dips that can be done in nightclubs and progresses to more advanced dips that are appropriate for demonstrations and competitions. The advanced dips should be practiced with a dance partner.

The lifts section teaches 3 lifts and their variations. The first two can be performed in nightclubs, while the third is more suitable for competitions.

The solos section demonstrates how one dance partner can present the other to show off their freestyle work in closed position. Eleven steps for exiting ladies' forward solos, ladies' backward solos, and gentlemen's forward solos are performed and then explained with easy to follow instructions.

Lisa and Dave's teaching style emphasizes dance lines between the gentleman and lady. For each step they focus on how to smoothly enter the step, execute it crisply with a firm lead, and exit it cleanly. Lisa demonstrates ladies' styling to accentuate each step. The steps are broken down for Salsa dancers who dance on "1" and "New York style on 2."

Lisa Perez is a beautiful Latin dancer who dances with high energy and excitement. She studied with April Genovese, a former Razz M' Tazz performer. Lisa teaches Salsa in the Boston area.

Dave Morgan has been dancing competitively since 1979. He first studied Hustle and Swing, then began training in social ballroom dancing in 1990, followed by Latin, and then Argentine Tango in 1995.

Lisa and Dave have been dancing together since September, 2000 and have quickly become one of the hottest dance couples in the Northeast, performing demos in Salsa and Hustle and winning Salsa contests in Boston and New York. They have appeared twice on Univision's "Pachanga Latina."
