the perfect cry is a contemporary Catholic rock band based in Long Beach, California. Their music is best described as adult alternative rock with a soft 70’s retro feel. Think Coldplay meets Fleetwood Mac, or Cheryl Crow meets America. Their music is yearning and honest with an easy-to-swollow spiritual message. The group plays every Sunday at the Contemporary Mass at St. Joseph’s Church in Long Beach, CA, as well as, occasionally performing at local clubs, coffeehouses, and events. In 2006, the perfect cry recorded its first full-length CD on Soulstatic Records, titled “Touching Stars.” With this record, they were nominated for Best Rock Album of the year by the United Catholic Music and Video Association. They were also the featured musical artist in the June 2006 issue of the Long Beach Magazine. Lastly, one of their songs appears on the best selling Compilation CD: "Catholic Music 2007" on Spirit Wing Records.
