Jim Perry, songwriter extraordinaire, has been lighting up the central Masssachusetts music scene for four decades. On his newest release, "12 Bars Tonight", Jim has taken a slight left turn into the blues. His local fans have been asking for it for years now, mainly due to his highly skilled lead guitar playing. Jim has been sitting in on blues jams around Massachusetts for quite some time, and by popular demand, he has set his sights on creating a first class blues album, especially for the people who have followed him throughout the years. This is a very personal project, because it came to fruition not by his own whims, but because it was virtually forced on him by his fans. In essence, it is a gift to the folks who have religiously followed Jim for years. It is his way of saying 'thank you'.
