LaHaie is best known as a recording artist with Frontiers, an international community of people dedicated to inviting Muslims all over the world to follow Jesus. LaHaie uses his platform as a recording artist to challenge believers from across America to take the Gospel to the Muslim world. His current project, Endless Fields, which was produced by Grammy and Dove Award-nominated producer Brian Hardin (FFH, Manic Drive, Vicki Yohe), fuses modern acoustic rock and a passionate layering of electric guitars with lyrics that reveal LaHaie's heart for the nations.
LaHaie currently can be heard as an on-air radio personality weekday mornings with 89.3 FM, Moody Radio West Michigan.
LaHaie is also the host of the nationally syndicated radio feature "Cast Yourself In," a program that tells amazing stories of how God is working in the Muslim world. "Cast Yourself In" is broadcast on more than 100 stations and translators across the United States, and worldwide through the Internet.
Prior to joining Frontiers, LaHaie served as the drive-time personality for the award-winning 99.7 Family Life Radio in Midland, Mich. Of his journey of faith that has taken him across the United States, Mexico, Thailand, Turkey, Russia and Belgium, he says, "Jesus has found me. And now he's invited me into this thing that's bigger than me, and not about me — His great work to bless the nations."
He’s shared his music in Russia in 1993, in Turkey in 1999, in Mexico in 2001, in Thailand in 2002, in Belgium in 2005, in Thailand in 2010 and again in Turkey in 2011.
Perry says, “I’m not singing about a safe faith. I sing about what’s tough for me: Risk, surrender, dying to self so the real Jesus can be seen and known through me. What I pray for and long for through my music is for people to come face to face with the astounding grace of Jesus and to be awakened, perhaps like never before, to take that grace to their neighbors and to the nations.”
Perry is married to Teresa, who serves at the Hope Network in Grand Rapids, MI. They have two beautiful children, Kali who's 18 and Taylor who's 16.
In Perry's free time he likes to play basketball, hang out with his children, read challenging stuff like The Case For Faith by Lee Strobel and The Prodigal God by Tim Keller and read science fiction (in particular, the continuing Star Wars series).
Endless Fields is available at I Tunes and tons of other digital download sites.
