I can't believe she's from "Down Under"!!!!

Louise Perryman does indeed live up to her billing as "The white woman with the black voice." I had to do a triple-take on the CD cover when I listened to this CD 'cause Mrs. Perryman most definitely sounded like a sista. When she sang, there were visions of Anita Baker, Minnie Riperton, and Regina Belle going through my mind. Louise Perryman has their depth of feeling, their soul, and their passion for crafting great songs and vocals. In fact, the title track itself is an ode to the glory days of the late Roger Troutman & Zapp. Ain't no doubt about this album possessing heart and soul. It's a foregone conclusion that I will be purchasing the second album in the very near future. If anyone truly wants to hear soul done right, please add Louise Perryman to your collection immediately!

Great Australian Pop Music equalling the best in the world

This album has some killer tracks on it. "This Would Never Happen..." is mesmerising and throws hints to a hard life. "So Long" is a beautiful piece filled with longing and desire for someone unattainable. I have loved this CD since I bought it and still play it regularly. Great musicians too, and from the other side of the world.

Another Great Find

Another great CD by Louise Perryman. One exception, if they left off the title track, no one would notice.
