Album Notes

Children send and email Peter & Ellen pictures, cards, and letters from all over the United States, drawing pictures and telling stories about how much they love the song "Driving In My Car". The song is so loved by children and teachers alike that is has become a signature song for this much-loved children's duo. People often come to their concerts wearing sunglasses, scarves, hats and carrying little stuffed poodle dogs, just like it says in the song!

The cool thing is that all of Peter & Ellen's songs teach something - but when you're listening and singing along, you don't even realize it. Instead, you're grooving and having a blast, all the while learning all kinds of things that help in all sorts of ways. That's good children's music - it teaches, but you don't even know it. And that's what happens when two Early Childhood music teachers get married and blend their wonderful musical talents together to write and perform and record music for kids and families.

Again, my thanks. I (and my friends) know myself to be quite musically "picky"/discriminating (and educationally extremely so, as well). What you are doing, musically AND educationally, gets my highest ratings. I appreciate having had the opportunity to learn from you both.
-Joan Makepeace

"I can tell you this from personal and professional experience - you want to own all of Peter & Ellen's CDs! Anyone parent who loves to sing with their kids AND any teacher who knows the value of music in the Early Childhood classroom should own this and every CD released by this dynamic duo. They are fantastic - and they know exactly what kind of music kids AND grownups like to listen to! Catch them in concert too - their performances are fantastic!"
M. Paxton, Kindergarten teacher and Parent

You both are an inspiration to the Early Childhood field and your music impacts the lives of not only the teachers you meet but the thousand of children the teachers reach.
-Corey Kirshenbaum

I am proud to say that I now own every one of your tapes, and my teachers are all singing your songs (and dancing your dances!)
-Cheryl Karp

Singing these songs that we sang just helped me so very much....I purchased one of your CD's and my 23 year old daughter Gigi and I sang along on the way home from work. We usually listen to her music but she never wanted to change your cd.

I bought this cd after hearing the driving song. My whole class wears sunglasses and pretends to be movie stars. My two year old loves it too! Great songs for parents or teachers.
