Pianist Peter Jones and percussionist Tigger Benford collaborated to create The Metal Garden.
The music is a series of improvisations based on time and character.
The prepared piano combined with the wide range of percussion instruments sounds both modern and ancient. The music pulses and it also floats in slow time.

love it! great for modern dance class
author: Adriennenot only is this a great CD, it is excellent for working on improv/comp exercises with my dance students. It is a refreshing change to more traditional approaches to music composition. it seems to inspire greater creativity in all who listen!
An amazingly enthralling work of musical art.
author: C. RiceThis CD is a work of art that encompasses so many forms of music, from jazz to tribal feelings, all leaving your mental set of what music should be. The odd overtones of the prepared piano lends itself well to this timeless and absorbing style. In all, I found this piece to be an intellectual one, causing the listener to find beauty where most would overlook it, and that's the idea contemporary classical music is built upon.
