Album Notes

The original CD album “The Little Prince – 星の王子さま” was released by Planet Inc., Japan in 1998. The album was inspired by one of the all time best selling books, “Le Petit Prince” written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The music is considered as an extensive dimension of the sceneries, and perhaps, beyond the novel itself. The album consists of 9 original songs composed by one of the most renowned new age musicians in Asia – Peter Lai. The first edition was released in 1998. Few years later, a Taiwanese book publisher was licensed to produce the second edition and released with their printing version of the story book – “小王子”. In 2009, the album is distributed worldwide and in digital format for the first time. To avoid confusions, we have renamed the album to "Music For The Little Prince" in order to clarify this product is NOT an official item but rather, an "inspired-by" creation. Although the music was created from the east, but we hope that this can enhance the reading pleasure for everyone regardless of the geographic boundaries.
