Album Notes

***Available in cassette only!!!***

PETER LAMSON has delighted audiences in Great Britain and in the
U.S., up and down the East Coast, in the Southwest, and all over the Greater
San Francisco Bay Area and California. He has shared the stage with diverse
artists known both regionally and worldwide, such as Bonnie Raitt, Kathy
Mattea, Jerry Jeff Walker, Laurie Lewis, Tom Ball & Kenny Sultan, Hank
Ballard, Nick Lowe, Chris Smither, The Bobs, Roy Rogers, Norton Buffalo,
Martin Sexton, Vance Gilbert, Beausoleil, and Jonathan Edwards, among others.

His highly original material draws on Blues, Swing, Jazz, Rhythm & Blues,
Caribbean, and Folk. These diverse influences are brought into sharp focus
by Peter's distinctive vocal and guitar styles. His own material, combined
with his extensive and impressive repertoire of other writers' songs, form
the centerpiece of his performances; and he moves comfortably between styles
in alternately playful and moving performances that keep his audiences
pleasurably off-balance and wanting more. Peter has toured several times in
New England and the Southwest.

Peter has four releases on Magniphoria Music. Peter's first two albums,
"Go Ahead, Sparrow" and "Next to the Door" (both on cassette only), are
outstanding compilations of originals, from Jazz- and Caribbean-influenced
tunes on "Sparrow" to band versions of Folk/Rock and Pop/R & B on "Next to
the Door". "Lookin'At The Blue Side Of Things" (CD & cassette), is an
expression of Peter's Blues roots and a long-awaited response to his fans'
many requests for a compilation of some of his favorite Blues tunes of
classics and originals. The most recent release, "That Was Now,This Is
Then" (cassette only), captures 15 classics and one original of 30s &
40s-style ballads and Swing tunes, sung and played as only Peter can.
