Between the breathing in and exhalation Between the noise and silence The essence of existence These are very simple, even minimalistic melodies. This is the soothing, meditative guitar of Australian musician Peter Miller. His album "From a Distant Shore" reminded me of Windham Hill's legendary artists like William Ackerman and Michael Hedges. But Peter Miller definitely has his own unique style when he plays his guitar without accompaniment ("Wednesday Night Jam") or adds the hypnotic sounds of didgeridoo and anxious noises of a storm to his music ("Chase the Wind"). Peter Miller's inspired guitar performance has astonishing freshness. Each instrumental composition is an exciting story which carries away the listener from the beginning to the end. My favorite track on the "From a Distant Shore" album is the penetrating "Somewhere in the Hills". Peter Miller's music has a many nuances and must be listened to attentively. It will give you an unforgettable time of joy and pleasure. Serge Kozlovsky http://sergekozlovsky.com
