Album Notes

Peter just turned sixty five and he has been playing piano since he was seven. While other kids were throwing balls, or hitting balls, or catching balls, Peter trekked into the New England Conservatory for piano lessons. He has a broad background in classical, folk, musical comedy and jazz. He played on WBUR in Boston, and with an eight piece jazz band. He has performed as the main church musician at the First Church in Boston, MA. He is a regular at open mike nights in the Boston area and has featured there on numerous occasions.

This album is based on Peter's rehearsal of fourteen sketches for piano each based on a different feeling: loving, happy, angry, grief, afraid, wonderful, wanting, intelligent, quiet, foolish, hopeful, inspired, pensive and romantic. But when it was recorded there was no sheet music, no conductor, no over tracking. Just Peter and the baby grand piano at his house and his producer Steve Rapson. Steve has discovered and nurtured many local artists.

Two of the tracks are featured on the soundtracks of Peter Little's Vimeo video realizations.

The feelings were drawn from a diverse list found in the book “Adult Children of Alcoholics.”
