Album Notes

Peter Rundquist Left a stint on Wall Street many years ago to pursue a career in music. During that time he has manifested his talents in collaboration with some of New York's more notable music houses including Elias Arts, JSM Music, tomandandy, and Sacred Noise.

He has lent his originality and vision to a number of projects including: CLIO award winning advertising, original songs for the Disney channel, and a number of seasons scoring the OObi show on Noggin'.

As a co-founder of the instrumental music group Zoar he co wrote and produced Cd's for the Philip Glass' label Point Records.

While engineering and producing Straight from the Delta, a CD of Delta blues field recordings performed by legendary Mississippi artists, he became enamored with the exploration and performance of folk and roots music. Past projects have included sessions with notable blues artists ranging from Corey Haris to Taj Mahal and BB King. He is currently finalizing a CD of traditional and original folk compositions for families and kids.

As a founding member of Uncle Wade, a roots blues band located in the Hudson valley he is constantly honing his banjo playing and occasionally backing up folk legend Pete Seeger.

In 2006 he was awarded an artist's residency at the Ucross Foundation in Wyoming.
