In early 2002, God gave Pastor Hawkins and Pastor Davis the vision to expand the outreach ministry of the music department of Peter's Rock Temple C.O.G.I.C. This vision was accomplished later that year when the Peter's Rock Mass Choir recorded its first ever-live CD. The Peter's Rock Mass Choir is part of the music ministry of Peter's Rock Temple Church Of God In Christ located at 223 Martin Luther King Dr., Starkville, MS. This ministry is under the supervision of Pastor Davis. Peter's Rock's Minister of Music is Mrs. Jackie Davis, and the President is Ms. Lenoria Mason. Peter's Rock Mass Choir is a combination of the Sanctuary Choir, Youth Choir, Men Choir, Women Choir, and the MSU COGIC Fellowship Choir. The Mass Choir is comprised of over 50 anointed voices.

In October of 2002, the Mass Choir recorded the live performance CD at the Whitfield Auditorium on the campus of the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, MS. Allen Golden and Samuel Scott, Jr. of ROMUEL Production produced the project. Guest writers and soloist on the project included Mrs. Mosie Burks of the Mississippi Mass Choir of Jackson, MS; Mr. Paul Porter of the Christianaires of Olive Branch, MS; Ms. Calandra Davis of Jackson, MS; Ms. Christy Richardson of Tupelo, MS; Mr. Chris Dixon and Mr. John Howard both of Clarksdale, MS. The CD was released in August of 2003 and its title is "Standing In The Need".
