PETER STEIN
Roots/ blues & Country

Bursting through the gritty streets of Sydney, Peter Stein is ready to share the tales of his world. Past 50 years of age and with no signs of slowing down this tunesmith has some tales to tell. If you resonate to the music of Woodie Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Daniel Lanois or Tom Waits - then you'll like the earthiness and heartfelt music of this troubador.

With over 30 years of experience in the music business Peter is not content to just play music, but is an accomplished writer who has had his songs covered worldwide by such artists as Grammy winners - The Blind Boys of Alabama, jazz singer Vince Jones and achieved chart success with his song Together (SWE). He is a prolific songwriter who has won many songwriting awards, including winning the blues section of the internationally renown song comp ISC in 2004 with his track The Right Side of the Kingdom, winner in the UNISONG song comp. (gospel section) with his song Still Waters & Billboard winner with his song Nothin' to Lose. His songs are still in demand and recently one of his songs were covered by rock band - Howling Bells (2004) produced by Ken Nelson (Coldplay)

Dylan's management invited Peter to meet Bob after they heard one of his songs in '86 (My People). In the same year another one of his songs called Together charted in Sweden. After dabbling in theatre plays, a publishing contract with Warner Chappell and TV jingles we....
