Album Notes

Peter Tracy lives in Northern California and works for the County of Sonoma with the mentally ill. He is married and has two sons, neither one of which has any intention of joining the military. Both would leave the country if drafted. Peter has been playing guitar all his life, but only started writing songs a couple of years ago after joining the Veterans for Peace on their bus trip to Boston for the Democratic Convention in 2004. He is a Vietnam Vet and an active member of Veterans for Peace.

Such a leap of faith—written one week before the ’06 election. Guess there were just too many people paying attention to steal another one!

Hard Work
Written in response to Bush’s repeated mantra that what we’re doing in Iraq is “hard work.” this song is about what many vets, including myself, go through when they come home from a war.

Curious George
This pathetic little monkey isn’t really curious at all.

Somebody should Do Something
Written to make some (other) folks feel more compelled to do what they can to stop our country from becoming a fascist dictatorship

Priorities
About using gay marriage and flag burning as red herrings to get those evangelicals out to vote.

I Want a President
Just daydreaming about qualities a president should
have.
