By day, the national colors of Brazil are seen everywhere ... the blue of the sky, the green of the tropical rainforest, and the yellow of the abundant sunshine. Gorgeous mountains, white-sand beaches, and verdant rainforests fronting a deep blue sea frame Rio de Janeiro's world famous beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema. But it is the sounds and rhythms that drive the people. The seductive sounds of the samba in the Brazilian night are the rallying cry of the cariocas (residents) in the vibrant gafieiras (dance halls) throughout the year, and rise to fever pitch during the street parades of Carnaval.

The infectious Brazilian beat has inspired world-class composer and concert pianist Peter Vamos to create his album, "The Colors of Brazil." Combining great classic melody lines with the pulse of the South American continent, Peter has created his own "bossa nova" that may quite possibly stir you to your feet.
