Open Window was conceived as a way to showcase Pete Thompson's abilities as a musician, composer, lyricist and producer. He has spent a lifetime in the music industry as a session player and performer at the highest levels. Primarily know for his rock solid drumming and lyrical approach to rhythms, he has worked with an impressive list of artists like Robin Trower, Robert Plant, Melanie Safka, Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep), Pete Haycock (Climax Blues Band), and Eric Bibb. Pete began his international career at 20 with the short-lived and legendary band Silverhead. They toured all over the world in the early '70's at the heyday of the British Invasion as the opening act for Deep Purple, Nazareth, and Uriah Heep. His associations and experiences from this time, along with his natural musical talent, helped him to become the world class performer he is today.
Pete is not just a drummer. Open Window metaphorically opens the window to his other talents as a composer, arranger, producer, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and collaborator.
