The debut album from Mike Petkau is a bold first step in a direction not many singer-songwriters travel. Blending artsy quirks with folksy intentions and rock n roll romance, Parapet showcases an array of sonic textures while revealing Petkau's inner workings. The result is intimate pop music, but by no means a production assault on your sense of taste or self-worth.
