Peto-A-Go-Go is an ongoing evolution of pop music from singer/guitarist/songwriter PETO and his band that has been laced over the years with influences of folk rock, edgy blues balladeering and most of all pure, unapologetic powerpop. The music always revolves around catchy melodies and empowered, sometimes humorous and always honest lyrics that weave between crunching guitar rhythms, thumping bass lines, rocking piano accents and rollicking drum beats.
The power-loaded, pop-rockin' "Sugarcoated" disc features six new hook-filled songs including the energetic "(Can It Be) So Real" and the moody surf-rock laced "In This Town," plus the fun of the tongue-in-cheek title track and more!
Also check out PETO's debut CD "In My Place" from 2000 for six more songs to fill your head!

Great songs!

Lovely catchy power pop, full of energy and confidence. (Can It Be) So Real is an awesome song, it's worth buying the CD for that track alone, but all the songs will hook you with their strong melodies. Special mention too for Phabulous Fred, which displays the band's sense of adventure, both lyrically and musically.

It's a total sugar rush!

I love the songs of "Sugarcoated" especially "In This Town" and the way the energy builds throughout the song, also Peto's vocals have a really cool "edge" to them here. I love the lyrics of "What Would You Do?" because they really struck a chord with me and "I Can Feel You" is a tender pop love song -- excellent songwriting! Overall it's fun and the sound is very refreshing and not over-produced like many pop albums. I highly recommend it!
