This fantastic album consists of 10 great tracks which transport us to a world of fantasy and beauty. “Awake In Dreamland” The opening theme, magnificent from start to finish, is a relaxing, intense song that will penetrate our soul in melancholy, hosted in the comfort of her embrace. “Gaia Hypothesis” This track is moving in all the branches of Symphonic Metal, cutting, with acoustic guitars in the middle of the piece that caress our ears, comprising a truly beautiful theme twinned with the hypnotic voice of Petra’s. “Mystery of Life” Herein is a dichotomy where the full capacity and sensitivity of each musician and vocal artist is reflected. Melodic lines are perfectly assembled graduating to the fullest multiplicity of colours of the world where everything grows or perishes at any one time. “Our Fathers Wings” This is a lofty theme, ethereal and Majestic, leading to a huge dream of peace and tranquillity. The brilliance of Petra’s voice in each of the themes is resounding proof of a singer with great potential. I must add that the performance is exceptional, so is the production. The album AMALGA is the heart and soul whose in depth sound has as if it were rain, flooded our musical cravings and leads us in silence to an endless sea. AMALGA. recorriendo un camino entre lo pesado y lo melódico, entre la fuerza y la sensibilidad, lo gotico y lo espiritual. haciéndose hueco para mostrar talento y creatividad… este fantastico álbum lo conforman 10 grandiosos canciones capaces de transportarnos a un mundo de fantasia y belleza. “awake in a dreamland” tema de apertura, magnifico de principio a fin, relajante, intenso, cancion que romperá nuestra alma y nos acogerá en la melancolía de su regazo. “gaia hypothesis” moviéndose en las ramas del metal sinfónico, cortante ,con guitarras acústicas a mitad del tema, que acarician nuestros oídos, tema verdaderamente hermoso, hermanado con la voz de PETRA. “mystery of life” es problamente donde la capacidad y sensibilidad de cada músico y cantante se ve reflejada. líneas melódicas perfectamente ensambladas, escalando la plenitud, multiplicando los colores del mundo donde todo crece o perece…a la vez. “on my fathers wings” excelso tema, etéreo y majestuoso, que nos conduce hacia un inmenso sueño de paz y tranquilidad… PETRA con su brillante voz, en cada uno de los temas, demostrando ser una cantante con gran potencial. debo agregar que la ejecución es excepcional, asi como la producción. This cd is totally mind blowing and confirms the quality of unsigned talent that is out there at the moment. 'Amalga' is a mix of Gothic Metal, Symphonic Metal, together with a little Progressive and Power Metal thrown in for good measure. The best track on this little opus is the opener 'Awake In Dreamland'. But this must not distract from the rest of the cd, as overall, I feel this is a very good effort indeed. To summarise - I admire Petra - she is a very hard working musician who has determination to succeed, and you know what, she will on this showing. Great stuff!
