With her latest effort, this hard working, independent, Singer-Songwriter sparkles. Her essence and honesty shine throughout the twelve tracks. Her musical arrangements complement the story-telling lyrics are delivered with her clear and compassionate vocals. The album’s title, "Caravan," signifies the journey she embarks upon as a songwriter, musician, recording artist and person.
Tiffany Petrossi has ambitiously released three albums in less than three years. All were self produced through her independent record label, Esmeralda Records, named after a character she played in a Tennessee Williams play. Tiffany has also made her mark in the music industry with her organization, “Rockin’ Moms,®" which she created to promote moms in music. As an aspiring Rockin’ Mom herself, she wanted to acknowledge the accomplishments of Moms in the industry, including producing music festivals, ezines, music website and producing CD compilations.
Tiffany has been honored early in her music career with a proclamation from Mayor Gavin Newsom, of San Francisco, officially naming 9/14/05, "Tiffany Petrossi Day", to honor her musical contribution and performance at City Hall. Petrossi has received a runner up in VH1 Song of the Year contest for her song, ”The Actress,” and radio play on over 300 stations. Tiffany is a is a voting member of NARAS and endorsed by Daisy Rock Guitars. You can find her performing locally in the SF bay area and nationally, with a full band as well as solo acoustic shows.

Great CD with songs that will stay in your head for days.

This is the second CD I have from Tiffany and it's great. It's really fun to hear Tiffany's progression as a writer and recording artist and, even though Sweet Grove is fantastic, Caravan shows an exciting growth in Tiffany's music. To start, the overall sound is very tight. The band that supports Tiffany on this album is great because they show flashes of excitement without overpowering the lyrics and Tiffany's vocals. The full-time keys add a nice touch on this album as well. I think a few songs stand out as songs that I think are destined to be heard on the radio. The first is Tangerine. This is a beautiful cover performed with such passion and care that the most avid Zeppelin fan will be happy that Tiffany covered it. The next song is Kundalini's High. This is just a really happy and fun song that, to me, speaks to the whimsy and carefree attitude that one should have walking through this crazy life. Another song that I loved was Caravan. I know from reading about her that Tiffany is a big Grateful Dead fan so this is a really cool homage to the Dead and the free ranging yet tight sound that makes you want to grab somebody and dance. I would definitely pick up this album...there are songs that are great for a road trip (Caravan) or for putting on the headphones and chilling out (Miles and Daffodil).
