Album Notes

Allison Jones and Derek Fieth formed the duo known as PETS in the summer of 2003. Since their inception, they've amassed a sizeable, loyal following due to their energetic live shows.
They’ve already shared the stage such notable, national acts as The Lovemakers, The Gossip, The Rogers Sisters, Dead Meadow, The Willowz, and The Epoxies.

Thrasher Magazine featured a number of PETS songs on their two, most recent skateboarding DVDs, Rocket Science and King of the Road.

The danceable PETS single, “Pretty Pretty,” reached #10 on KDVS' (UC Davis CMJ-reporting station) top 30 song rotation playlist. PETS' 7 inch record, ‘STEP,’ also charted, reaching #62 on KDVS’ Top 90 releases of 2004.

The duo uses a crunchy, distorted bass, fuzzed-out reverb and effect-drenched guitars, arpeggiated keyboards, and a ready-to-rock drum machine to create their sound.

Derek and Allison both share vocal duties as their songs necessitate. When Derek sings, PETS has been compared to The Jesus and Mary Chain, Love and Rockets, and Sonic Youth. Allison's singing has drawn comparisons to The Kills, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Le Tigre.

Whetever the comparison, PETS makes music made for moving to, as the title of their upcoming, debut full-length album, ‘Pick Up Your Feet,’ denotes.
