Album Notes

The coast of Maine has been home for the past 7 years in the town of Blue Hill (yes it has a big hill/ small mountain that has a slight blue tint at the right time of day). Doesn't seem like a likely place, but there are musicians everywhere. Playing piano and organ for Big Pete Pearson when he was in Bar Harbor, ME. started thing off. That lead to the first CD (Less is More) with bassist, Jason Fiefield, and Sax player, Mark Hanson.
This CD was recorded above the garage, mostly in the winter and the keyboards were cold! The room isn't heated continuously and even when the room warmed up, the keys were still ice. (Creating the idea for the title - Cold Hands, Warm Heart). Some of the parts with gloves (a skill many keyboardists never get the chance to develop - cut 9 Frozen Finger Jam).
So give the tunes a listen, and hopefully part of you will warm up and start to smile. These tunes just grow on you. If your looking for a relaxed groove, listen to cuts 2 and 5 (Jet Stream , There She Goes). Ladies seem to particularily like Jet Stream. Cuts 1, 6 and 7 are more upbeat. Also check out the first CD, Less is More, especially the title cut. Thanks & peace / SP

You will be hard-pressed to find another album on CD Baby as soulful or as downright groovy as this -- except maybe Pfister's other album! Very nice!

I enjoyed this disc from the beginning, but love it more with each listen. I don't particularly like looped backing tracks, however this stuff is terrific.I would espeically recommend it on medium to long drives in your car.Pfister delivers some wonderfully versatile piano and keyboard grooves in blues and progressive jazz styles.
