Album Notes

Poets for Peace is a compilation of poetry recorded to cultivate courage and creativity in expressive arts for all people. Ten award-winning poets from New Mexico volunteered to read their poetry in support of peace.

Recorded at The Santa Fe School for Wonder in the Spring of 2003, the poetry is diverse and provocative.

Hear Samara Grossman, Michelle Holland, Elizabeth Raby, John Macker, Mariah Hegarty, Zoe Dwyer, Rachelle Woods, Jesse White, Leslie Bentley, and Mary McGinnis performing, and pass this compilation on.

The recording idea was born at a Manzanita Quarterly Literary Review reading. We took a show of hands, and found that every poet wanted to volunteer for peace.
Check out this publication, in its sixth volume at recording time, at www.manzanitaquarterly.com.

Each of the poets can be contacted through the email link at this site. Also check out Poets for Peace, Volume Two for more poetry like this.

great cd but needs accompanying lyrics included
author: janet faber
Love the CD. As a teacher, my only complaint is no accompanying lyrics.
