Album Notes

"Love Songs from Area 51" is the third release from PH101, a band that has been in existence since 1991, when it began as a songwriting project. Playing live since 1994, PH101 can be seen live in the NYC and Central Jersey/Jersey Shore/Philadelphia areas, usually. The pending release of a fourth CD will bring PH101 to a wider range of venues.

PH101 has opened for a handful of national acts, including Black 47, Jawbox, Merle Saunders, and moe. We'd soon like to have other acts open for us.

We've also had some brief encounters with famous people, including Herbie Hancock, who, upon hearing our second CD, "Hostage Heart," was known to have said, "I just don't understand some of this rock stuff !" Also, Ridy Bird, who graciously played percussion for us, actually played in Miles Davis' band for his last couple of tours. Pretty neat, hunh ?

The following fine individuals were responsible for the making of PH101's CD, "Love Songs From Area 51"
