Fully loaded blast of old school metal the way it was meant to be!!!
author: Michael Rames

Just knowing that the singer is Kevin Goocher (also the singer for Omen) along with the killer guitar licks of Eric Knudson and the baddness of bassist Glenn Malicki and the driving backbeat of drummer Danny White makes this CD a welcome listen to begin with. It's nothing but old school metal all written and performed the way it was meant to be. Included is guest appearances by Jason McMaster of Dangerous Toys/ Watchtower fame as well as Robert Lowe of Solitude Aeturnus. Its full of greatness with standout tracks like the fast and furious- Pain Machine, the balladesque- Enchanted and the tribute to Dimebag Darrell- Metal Warrior. Soundclips of some of the songs can be found at WWW.PHANTOM-X.NET as well as the video for Enchanted.

Great production

Musically, it does not make Kevin Goocher deviate that much from his other band, OMEN. It offers some typical US metal melodies, in songs like the humnical METAL WARRIOR. Phantom-X sounds really close to OMEN, especially if judged by the opener STORMS OF HELL. Great production.
