The Blind Pharaohs are a hard-driving, blues-wailing rockabilly outfit consisting of transplanted Southern boys living in NYC.
The CD consists of some of the Pharaohs' best original material and three choice covers.
Songs range from the surf-edged 'Tin Man', kind of an X-rated romp through Oz, to the swampy, Creedence-like 'I Feel', to the tender and melodic 'Moonlight Eyes'.
Recorded in just 24 hours, the CD captures some of the excitement of the Pharaohs' live show.

Under a Wampus Moon is an incredible album. In a time where bubblegum, rap & alternative music have saturated the music industry.. Blind Pharoas come from left field with a great sound that is longing in the todays music. If you have $15.. forget evrything else and drop it on this album.. its worth every penny!!

I actually saw the band perform BEFORE buying the CD. Hard to believe but the ONLY thing missing is a Mason jar full of clear adult beverage. If the bar room brawl scenes in the film "Walking Tall" had real live music, it would be the Pharaohs. Best describing this is, "Cottonmouth Blues." Redneck vocals and lazy harmonica make for a perfect hard liquor and firearms party.

This is a wonderful CD, swampy rockabilly bad-boy-ness from a band that's been at this for almost 10 years now. Marko's pick: One Legged Girl (With the Lazy Eye)! A really good representation of the Blind Pharaohs live show, which is not to be missed if you live in the Brooklyn/NYC area.
