Album Notes

* "Right On Time" starts off with the title track of the same name, giving you an indication that this is going to be a high-impact soulful ride all the way to the finish. Besides the fact that it's just an EP, each song is so musically as well as vocally strong, you find yourself playing them over and over again.

* A Louisiana native all his life, Patrick grew up listening to southern soul music, rock & roll music, and rhythm & blues music. He joined a band early on (Grady Gaines & The Texas Upsetters) and began touring and singing lead. He has established a following of loyal fans, especially in the Houston, Tx./Louisiana area.

The great ones Jackie Wilson, Otis Redding, David Ruffin and many others live deep in the soul of Patrick Harris . He was born in the golden age of Soul, the 1965, and his music reflects the mood,& feeling of the era . That is why, today, he is an integral part of the resurgence of Southern Soul . The songs on his new 6 song EP is merely an early barometer of the talent that has now … ARRIVED .

An Impressive Introduction....
author: Dylann DeAnna/Blues Critic
An impressive introduction from this versatile singer mixes chuggin' Southern Soul with Downhome Blues and lil' Contemporary Pop/R & B. Two downright great tracks merit mention first. The upbeat, head-bobbin, shoulder rollin' "Give Her What She's Been Missin'" is one of those modern Memphis Soul shuffle bumpers that folks like Theodis Ealey have been scorin' with. Harris has a strong rasp to his singing and the production is thick enough to compete with big leaguers in this genre. It's darn good advice too. Not the first song to remind you to take care of your homework or somebody else (Jody) will but it's always needed to break up a run of cheatin'/mack daddy/horndog songs on radio. The title track is another bouncy cut full of hooks. A straight up ode to his woman who's the "best thing in my life". Two strong singles here for the Chittlin Circuit. The Bluesy "Help Me Make (This Dream Come True)" is an aggressive Soul Blues with more throaty exhortations from Harris. Real keyboards and guitar to boot. The wildcard is the mainstream-leaning "I Fooled You This Time", which could also be a hit for a Luther, Freddie or another popular R & B stalwart. "Right On Time" is a good start and I wanna hear more. It's an EP's length (6 songs) thus the rating would be even higher with a LP's full.
