If you enjoy the classic sounds of Bobby Darin, Louis Prima, and Frank Sinatra mixed with the new swingin' sounds of bands such as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Royal Crown Revue, and Brian Setzer... You've made it to the right place.

Our first album, Phat Cat Swinger, was very much influenced by every generation of swing artist that we grew up listening to thanks in part to our parents. It's a very up-tempo and upbeat album that will truly lift your mood and make you smile.

We are currently working on our follow up album which is a mixture of new distinctive sounds that will soon be known as the phat sound that Phat Cat Swinger brings to this world.

It was an unusually cold night in August when founding members Marco, Matthew & Will got together & decided to bring back a sound that's been missing from the music scene.

Booming toms, walking bass lines, jumpin’ rhythms on guitar, roaring horn lines, & the smooth vocals of Tim Porter is what they found after a dedicated search to find the right musicians for this creation.

Five and a half years in the making & growing strong, this band has been fueled by the intensity that can only be felt when the perfect combination has been made.

Currently one of the hottest live swing bands to
come out of the Southern California underground scene,
Phat Cat Swinger attacks SWING head on & makes it their own.

The release of their self titled Debut album takes you from an up tempo foot stomping jazz, to a sultry tango in the night and sends you back to a time of nostalgia & youth.

From humble beginnings in a schoolhouse to an evening at the prestigious House of Blues and beyond, Phat Cat Swinger delivers the goods & makes you beg for more. Watch out for the next revival of SWING music like never before!
