Review from www.phantomtollbooth.org

Length: 13 tracks at 64:04 minutes

Here are some little known facts you may find interesting. Philadelphia the band is from Shreveport, Louisiana not Pennsylvania. Philadelphia is from the mid 80's not the 00's. Philadelphia is pure metal. This limited edition CD reprint is from M8 Distribution and includes some killer new material from the reunited original members of the band.

Search and Destroy was a bold concept album about the life and times of "Bobby," a kid who came through the hard life, and out the other side by calling on Jesus to be his all in all. The original record is here in its entirety. It sounds pretty good compared to some 80's bands.....The surprises come in the bonus tracks. There is a song from the Search and Destroy days called "Please My Love" and a just recorded one about the school violence so much in the headlines in 2000. "Kids in America." Both songs are well written and display a fresh crunch that makes a new record by these guys an interesting prospect. The CD closes with a few live tracks from Philadelphia's unreleased Warlord record. The live tracks have a feel to them that makes me think they were also recently recorded, and not very well, but this is an opportunity to hear material from a project that never saw the light of day.

Philadelphia is a pure metal band; always was and always will be. Hurry if you want to relive some of this classic metal madness.
