Album Notes

Philip John Brooks is a professional singer/songwriter/guitarist who appears throughout England and the United States. His extensive repertoire is ever changing as he incorporates his latest original songs in live performances. His compilations include the CD's "The Fishermen of Fleetwood, "A different place, a different time", and "Canyon Road". Philip has also written television theme music, computer software music, and popular songs recorded by Irish showbands and the English group, Country Pie.

"A Different Place, A Different Time"

These songs are musings on the magic of New Mexico, including the once magnificent Alvarado Hotel in Albuquerque, Wheeler Peak, the long-defunct "Chili Line" railway and the St. James Hotel in Cimarron.

I have attempted to portray my vision of this unique place using historical fact and fiction. I invite you to experience the mystique of New Mexico.
