Album Notes

Phil Coley has been the main artist on three of my CD's which have been accepted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame Sound Collection. These songs have played in an HBO film, and on national network radio, television or featured in major sports books and newspapers.

The song Wall Street Christmas is a major departure from sports. The focus is on what's happening right here and now in America to you, me and tens of millions of Americans. The song recounts one American average Joe giving a message to Santa Congress clamoring to know why Main St is treated so differently than Wall Street. Why is this currently happening to the economy, our country, and all of us living on Main St? Why all of this corporate welfare and baleful bailouts for Wall Steet?

This Average Joe in this song demands to be treated just like the big boys on Wall Street and wants Santa Congress to stop taking money from their Santa which is Wall Street. The first line is: I want a Wall Street Christmas Main Street Noel won't do! The last lines are: Congress take the pledge no more wall street money 'til the national debt's paid and America's future sunny!

Seasonal Music for Our Times
author: Juliana L\'Heureux
HoHoHo! Count on the talented and timely combination of creativity between lyricist Joe Pickering and balladeer Phil Coley to produce an entertaining song about our nation's current economy. Wall Street Christmas plays to our hopeful hearts this Holiday Season. Pickering's lyrics blend with the soft comedy rock of Coley's melody to create a song appropriate for an introduction to Scrooge and Marley plays. This song rings with the voices of Christmas present and future. Indeed, Charles Dickens himself would have likely written a stellar song review, if he was here to enjoy the Wall Street Christmas tune. Wall Street Christmas is a seasonal hit!
