Philip Norman


Every now and then a genius is born. In this case, a musical genius. Discovered by Jerome Clay of Clayboard Records during a talent showcase at Kimball's East in Emeryville California in the year 2000, Philip Norman is truly a remarkable talent. Playing the piano since age 3, and singing in churches around the bay area also from an early age, Philip has developed his musical skills to a level that's truly outstanding. Philip not only is an accomplished pianist and singer, but he is also a prolific songwriter as displayed so eloquently in this album. In addition to playing all the instruments on his album, he also produced and arranged all the material as well.

"The Greatest Gift of Love" is truly an inspiring work of art. This album of love songs spans the gamut of love through an emotional journey that expresses love in a variety of ways. These heartfelt songs stir the emotions through Philip's outstanding vocal delivery and the beautifully orchestrated arrangements. Philip's voice is so captivating that it demands the listener's attention from the very first note, as demonstrated so well on "Please Stay". The combination of ballads along side up-tempo songs like the title track "The Greatest Gift of Love" creates a wonderful balance that takes the listener on a musical journey of love.
