Album Notes

He may have been born into Robert Earl Keen's West Texas sandstorms and came of age in the shadow of Duane Allman's grave in Georgia, but Philip Olivier's musical soul was conceived in New Orleans. The kindred spirit he shares with his family's native state and his adopted hometown is evident in the sound and struggle within his music. It can be transcendent and boisterous one minute, reflective and raw the next. Philip pins down the undercurrents of emotion and rage that lie within--the conflicts of the past and present, wanting and wanted, loss and reconciliation. His is a music grounded in his Southern roots and geography, understanding of the fact that only after the fall is the moment of redemption.

This album was co-produced by Cale Tennison.
