Album Notes

Phillip Fraser was born in the Whitfield Town area of Kingston, Jamaica on the 12th day of February 1951. Phillip grew up in a catholic family and attended Denham Town primary school and Holy Trinity school.
Sometime during his late teens Phillip felt the inspiration of Ras Tafari and decided that the teachings were in line with his own inner feelings and joined the Ras Tafarian community.
Phillip was influenced and inspired to sing by the late Slim Smith. It was at this time that he entered talent contests at the Bohemian Nightclub on Maxfield Avenue, along with other hopeful unknowns at the time like The Mighty Diamonds.
Phillips popularity grew and soon he released "This Time" on the Libra label with Soul Syndicate supplying the backing track.
Phillip then joined forces with Bertram Brown and formed the Freedom Sounds label, and released "Mr. Bluebird". Bertram Brown becoming the owner/producer and Phillip Fraser, Prince Alla, and Earl Zero being the first recording artists. Phillip went on to form other labels with Don Mais, "Roots Tradition", Michael Chin and Tyrone Hailey, "Cornerstone" and his own label "Razor" on which to showcase the growing circle of local artists in Greenwich Farm.
Phillips small frame and gentle manner belie the power of his voice, as you listen to him you can hear and feel the inspiration that guides him. Phillip shares with you the pureness of his heart and lifts you on high to exalt H.I.M. and all that is good. Kamel

Keep listening to good music, for it soothes the heart and stimulates the mind. Let the music vibes flow. Phillip Fraser
