Album Notes

Phil Pollard is a Knoxville drummer and percussionist. With his band of humans, he has gathered some fine working musicians in order to present Literature to humanity. Whether it is poetry, epistle, or lyric, the words are clearly spoken (or sung) and travel straight ot the soul while riding on transcendent grooves. Plus, it's got a good beat, and you can dance to it. Body, mind, and soul, . . .

. . . we're here!

Phil's band of humans recently played a very nice set at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN.

This CD is a solo project by Phil, and is what started the whole idea for the band. It includes the now famous "Gettysburg Address," "Sylvia Plath," and a live version of "...even though..." the flexitone song.

We love Note! It's unique, creative and very infectious. We find ourselves singing these songs to ourselves long after the music has stopped. I think you'd know if the grass was wet!
