Album Notes

Phil Schneider is a singer/songwriter from Florida. Many of these songs are about experiences we have had, or wished we had, but rarely write about. “I Wanna Take a Trip Down to Rio” and ‘I Gotta Get Outta Here” are escapist. “I Can Hear Thunder” deals with a cynical view of society. Then there is the humor Phil is known for in “Dead Chicken”, “En le Tap-Tap, Etienne” and “Light in the Sky”. Phil has never written a love song. “Jack’s Song” is about unrequited love and “Circles” about dieing passion. More serious are “Opus de Samba”, an instrumental dedicated to the memory of Carlos Jobim, and “John Lennon Is Dead”.
