Album Notes

PHIL SETTLE
Born in Georgia, raised in Texas, and seasoned in recording studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama,
Emmy Nominated composer PHIL SETTLE
was called “a Texas music legend”
by the Houston Music News.
After spending some early years in the
Houston Music scene, he finally relocated to the LA area in the late 80’s where, in addition to producing records,
he continues to play live, write, produce and perform music for television and feature films.
His CD “PHIL SETTLE & Friends - Santa Monica Pier”, on
Sand Canyon Records, was digitally recorded as part of the City of Santa Monica Concert Series and not only showcases Phil’s band of world-class musicians, but his own rootsy, Texas take on jazz, funk, and R & B - armed with his skills as both a bluesy vocalist and a burning guitar player.
Phil's Friends:
Herman Matthews-drums
Alec Milstein-bass/backing vocals
Frank Strauss-keyboards
Danny Donnelly-guitar/harmonica
Sean Holt-sax/percussion/backing vocals
all made for a killer jammin' sorta Sunday afternoon!
Produced by Gary Bivona & Phil Settle.
Mixed by Philly Cheeseman.
Mastered by Doug Sax @ The Mastering Lab,
Hollywood, CA.
