Album Notes

Continuous Journey is a film by Ali Kazimi which has won many awards including best original music - and it has also been nominated for outstanding sound design. The sound effects and music were both constructed by Phil Strong and this CD is a condensation of the entire soundtrack minus dialog. It is at times very ambient but also features incredibly compelling vocal performances by the incomparable Kiran Ahluwalia and Shahid Ali Khan - a student of the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. This album is an unbroken continuous track comprised of 7 chapters - and is best experienced on headphones to get the full effect of being transported in time and around the world.
