Like Undiscovered pages to the Great American Songbook

Veteran Songwriter records his first CD and it's a winner. If you like Romantic songs that sound like undiscovered pages of the great American Songbook-- you'll love this. Beautifully recorded and sung, the CD is chock full of good songs. One of the highlights for me is "Middle Man" with it's wry lyrics and Dixieland arrangement-- but there are lots of gems here- like "Slow Dance" and "How Do I Go Home Tonight?" Highly recommended

How refreshing it is to hear an award winning songwriter finally turn the microphone onto himself in a raw and sincere demonstration of talent. Swann's Stale Scotch and Cheap Cigars gives us a rare glimpse at the man behind many hit songs. Recorded live without the over processed sound of today's talents, Swann shows why he is an outstanding songwriter with a gift of delivering the depth of our feelings to us. Bravo Phil Swann for finally reflecting the spotlight on you - and thanks for sharing your soul with us!
