Album Notes

This album is an experience! Over an hour of smooth, laid back jazz, featuring Phil's superb vocals and piano abilities – it makes for a “Perfect Situation”. Of the seventeen tracks, Phil has penned ten, which cover a variety of styles, including reggae, pop, swing, samba and a number of tender ballads. He has included on this album two very personal songs that he wrote for his wife, one for their wedding day and one celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary.

Phil lives in the Hunter Valley in NSW, Australia, and is a record producer, running his own business called Style Music. His wife Jodi runs the events and management side of the business, being event manager for Hunter Valley Gardens and overseeing other contracts.

Phil has won a number of awards, including Best Instrumental at the Australian Songwriting Awards 2007 for Cascade, Honourable Mention in the 2004 USA Songwriting Competition, Best Instrumental and Best Male Vocals in the Newcastle 1233 ABC Music Awards.

His piano style mixes the depth of his classical background with his love of jazz rhythms and harmonies, and his vocals at times are warm and intensely intimate, at other times soar and show off his incredible range and versatility.
