Modern technology has brought us a lot of interesting tools we can use to create music and from that has spawned a generation of home recordists who exploit them.

Phil Void claims no particular genre or format, the songs and recordings are mostly derived by improvisation and stream of conciousnessness. The results are varied and many.

Phil Void is a somewhat avant-rock collective....in the traditions of Pink Floyd, NIN or The Mars Volta. The groups sound on this current disc is eclectic, wide-ranging & ambitious... welding together elements of punk, free jazz, noise, electronica & metal. Equal measures challengeing, listenable and entirely facinating. An elaborate piece of conceptual music that portrays as much as it explores, with all the cosmic tendencies of grandoise art rock, off-set by sonically enhanced garage-beats and jarring electric outbursts.
