Album Notes

Melanie captivates an audience the moment she sings her first note. Her captivating lilting voice magically transports the listener back to calmer times of the 70's with her Joni sound. She is Joni, she is Emmy Lou, she is Judy, she is Joan. She is a microcosm of her parents music. Her classical guitar training has not hurt her music either! At 5'5" and just a tad over 100, she appears as a lythe angel from above, sharing her contagious joy, love, beauty, and music with the world. She has sung with several artists, some within her genre (Livingston Taylor) and some outside (Rod Stewart) to name just two. This past summer, she visited Nice to perform a concert at the University there, and recently she has joined the Bay Area's favorite sons, The Rowan Brothers and Pete Sears of The Starship to make music. One never knows where this outrageously talented, gorgeous woman will show up. If you don't have a chance to see her in concert at her usual haunts in Mill Valley or Berkeley, definately check out her music. I have also seen her get wild, and she can rock with the best of them as well!
